RacecarQuarterly: Spring 2015

RacecarQuarterly:
Spring 2015

Let us tell you ’bout the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and some of what we’ve been up to for the past few months…
We’re proud to announce the launch of our new podcast series for The New York Academy of Sciences – a five-part look at the mysterious, ubiquitous, and debilitating group of diseases we call dementia. Hundreds of millions of people have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other forms of neurodegenerative disease, but what are they? What causes them? And what can be done to prevent or treat them?

Our own David Hoffman attempts to answer these questions by interviewing some of the most prominent scientists in the field, as well as leaders in care, policy, and drug development. Episode 1 up now, with another to follow each of the next four weeks. Listen here.

Subscribe to the Academy’s podcast series to have new episodes automatically downloaded to your computer as they’re published!

Another recent podcast for NYAS and the Beyond Batten Disease Foundation showed how scientists are examining the lysosome – a little-known part of all of our cells – in hopes of finding cures for some rare (and some not-so-rare) diseases. Listen here.
We provided comprehensive A/V support to Seedco‘s excellent 2015 Spring Forum – an important and timely discussion of government programs that attempt to relieve malnutrition among the poor.

Our work included producing and live streaming broadcast-quality video from the event, designing and installing the lighting and public address sound, and providing closed-circuit display to six 60″ LCD screens. See some of the finished product here.

We were very happy to have played a part in We Are Family Foundation‘s 2015 Three Dot Dash Just Peace Summit, providing on-site graphics editing and A/V consultation – a terrific few days with the next generation of global leaders.

So what can we do for you? Don’t be shy – drop a line!
